Organizers & Organizing Committee

The 2nd World Conference on Personality was brought together by a dedicated team of scholars and event professionals committed to advancing the study of personality. The Organizing Committee oversaw all aspects of the conference, from session curation to on-site logistics at the Atlântico Búzios Conference & Resort.

Building on the foundation laid by the first conference in Stellenbosch, South Africa, the committee worked to ensure a truly international and interdisciplinary program.

Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee was responsible for maintaining the highest standards of academic rigor. Members reviewed submissions, shaped the thematic tracks, and ensured that the program reflected the breadth and depth of contemporary personality research.

Their collective expertise spanned trait theory, social-cognitive approaches, cross-cultural personality psychology, and emerging methodologies in the field.

Keynote Speakers

Distinguished keynote speakers addressed the conference, sharing groundbreaking findings and theoretical advances. These invited presentations covered major currents in personality psychology and set the tone for the scientific dialogue throughout the event.

Each keynote was followed by moderated discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with leading figures in the discipline.

Invited Symposia

Invited symposia brought together panels of researchers to explore focused topics in depth. These sessions fostered lively exchange and highlighted collaborative work across institutions and regions.

Symposia themes reflected the conference's commitment to broadening perspectives and strengthening international cooperation among personality psychologists.

Program Overview

The scientific program was structured to balance plenary sessions with smaller parallel tracks, allowing participants to tailor their experience. Sessions ran across multiple days at the Atlântico Búzios Conference & Resort, with breaks designed to encourage informal networking and discussion.

Attendees also had the chance to explore Búzios — its beaches, welcoming atmosphere, and the natural beauty of coastal Brazil — complementing the academic program with cultural enrichment.
